Many patients will want time to think about whether they want an operation and may wish to arrange to come back another day. Others will just want to go ahead and have the procedure on the same day.
The procedure will normally involve injecting a local anaesthetic into the skin. This may nip at first but will quickly go numb. Thereafter the procedure will be performed and stitches applied to the skin. These will either be dissolving and will not need to be removed or will need to be taken out, in which case an appointment will be arranged.
